COVID-19 Vaccination Information

Who is eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine?  Anyone who is healthy and over six months old is eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. People who have been sick or are older are especially at risk. A COVID-19 vaccination is your best protection from the COVID-19 virus. All vaccines are available at no cost. If anyone asks you to pay a fee, contact NNPHD.

What about boosters?  Everyone 5 and older can receive a bivalent booster at least two months after their last booster or after completing the primary series of vaccines. The CDC has guidance about when to get a booster here. You can also check with your health provider or pharmacist.  People who are moderately or severely immunocompromised have different recommendations for COVID-19 vaccines.  Updated COVID-19 boosters protect against new variants of the virus. It’s never too late to add the protection offered by a COVID-19 Booster.

COVID-19 Vaccine and the Flu Shot  If it's time for your COVID-19 booster, you can get it at the same time as your flu shot. If you have questions consult with your pharmacist or check here for more information on receiving both vaccines together.
